Around it not a problem as long you keep the mentioned clearance. Not recommended for bottom if too much weight is put on it.
Can I use this surrounding a freestanding gas stove with about 18" clearance all around? The stove will be rarely used if used at all. If so, is it possible to use on the bottom as well? It is currently on a raised ceramic tile pedestal
