Yes it can be used on a shower application. Make sure to seal (high quality sealer, which can be purchase at your local home improvement store) every single piece prior to installation. Same thing for backsplash. Always use a pH neutral tile cleaner such as Supreme Surface® Stone Shower Cleaner.
