Porcelain mosaic tiles are used for shower floors, walls, kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, and swimming pools. Porcelain is one of the hardest flooring materials available and can last decades. Its 0.5 or less water absorption makes it frost-proof and scratch-resistant with zero or little maintenance.
They are ideal for areas where slip resistance is needed, such as bathroom and shower floors and swimming pool stairs. Choosing porcelain mosaic tiles with a matte or rustic finish will help create a safe floor. Also, because mosaic tiles have more grout lines than large-format tiles, they make more traction, which is desirable in wet areas.
